DESIGN

Many of our projects begin with conversations in the garden.  As clients describe their visions for how they would like to see a space transformed, and the ways in which they hope to inhabit that space, we can add our own ideas and suggestions for making those changes effective and lasting.  Often, after a couple of conversations and a detailed written description of the project, work can begin.  In some instances a drawing (by hand or computer-assisted) helps to visualize the new ideas in the context of their existing surroundings.  In other situations architectural drawing are useful for charting a particular and comprehensive design concept.

INSTALLATION   

While about half of our projects entail ground-up installation of complete landscape designs — gates, fences, walls, patios, decking, gardens, irrigation and lighting — the other half may entail the addition of a new patio and planting area, improved irrigation for an existing garden, a deck remodel to make better use of outdoor space, or a low-voltage lighting system to make an established garden inviting and accessible in the evening.  Regardless of size and complexity, we bring the same enthusiasm and high standards to every project.

MAINTENANCE

HEADWATERS offers seasonal maintenance services for the gardens and landscapes we install.  While all gardens benefit from the regular attention of a gardener, most of the gardens we install only require seasonal maintenance and irrigation adjustments.  We are happy to refer clients to regular maintenance gardeners, or we can schedule several visits a year to prune, weed, mulch, check the irrigation, replace or change plants that are not thriving, and replace expired light bulbs.
